The MP1,1 the husband is using currently has a BCM94311 -a pull from a 2007 white MacBook. My MP3,1 has a BCM94322 card that was a pull from a 2010 iMac.
Pretty much ANY blue Broadcom card with 8/18 pins and the BCM43xx firmware series will work in a MacPro.Here's one forI have yet to find an Apple wifi card, be it for a macbook, macbook pro or an imac that doesn't work.Edit: Ah, Yosemite. Well in the MP3,1, I've got ElCap on the second partition and it runs. I should bust a move on installing Yosemite in the MP1,1 - I see no reason that a wifi card pull from a 2010 iMac shouldn't run under it - I have a white 2010 Macbook - the ones with the funky rubber bottom - cobbled out of scrap running sierra and it's got the 94322 card in and working.
